Above are my latest pieces. I am currently taking a course online 'Make Art that Sells (MATS)' through Lilla Rogers Studios. Lilla Rogers is an art agent and teacher who has greatly inspired me. I have also just finished reading her book, "I Just Like to Make Things".  Lilla gives great information for any artist that wants to make it in the illustration, product and craft industry. In MATS group A, I have just completed week 2 for plate design. It is wonderful getting back to basics of drawing and calligraphy! I have discovered there are new lines of calligraphy inks that are acrylic that come in different spectrum of colors! What does everyone think of these designs?
  For next week, I will be exploring the world of children's illustration and the study of cats and folklore. Since I do not have any children, I decided the first stop was the library. Yesterday, I met the children's librarian who was full of information of what were the most popular books with little kids today and books that have received many awards. Below are some of the books I ended up taking home - how wonderful they are!
