This was a very busy summer. I had signed up for another Lilla Roger's, Make Art that Sells class; her latest being Home Decor. Once again, Lilla's classes are amazing and am having a great time. This term, I decided to pick my category of tropical home decor, due to the fact that my parents have a new tropical retreat for their retirement. I have been studying tropical flowers and birds. I dug back into my photos from a trip 6 years ago to the San Diego zoo. The flamingos were perfect! I also walked around town and took pictures of the summer tropical plants in the center of town in Leominster, MA. These are the pictures of my study of this subject matter. During the third week of this program I began to get behind, due to interviewing for jobs. I am still behind on the assignments, and am still interviewing for work. I have been unemployed for over a year and just recently took a temp job through Christmas. I am still interviewing at a great prospect. In between this time, I have also begun to sell my art merchandise in the center square on Saturdays from 9-1 in Leominster Marketplace. I have met some wonderful people during my first times there and am looking forward to becoming more active in the community. Next weekend 9/16/17 is Johnny Appleseed Fair and I will be attending there, too at Sholan Farms Orchard. See: www.facebook.com/groups/JohnnyappleseedHC/ For now, Keep drawing, keep painting, keep creating! God bless.
